A Personal Message…
Along my journey I am always honored when a woman calls or stops to talk to me about where she is in her life. She may be stuck in her career, looking to completely change direction, or perhaps re-entering the workforce after divorce or medical leave.
A few weeks ago, I spent an hour on the phone with a corporate executive who had been laid off from her six figure position and was looking for a new challenge. We explored options and as we ended the conversation, she thanked me for my time and said, “This has been a very valuable conversation. People I’ve paid to help with my career have not listened to me or spent the amount of time with me that you did.”
She did for me what I had just done for her: She helped moved me toward a place I had known in my heart that I wanted to go…
Conversations & Inspirations was born…
There are times in life where what we need is someone we can trust to help us brainstorm our options and look at where we want to go next: A good listener who has only your interest at heart, a voice of experience who’s been there and done that.
Yes, you can always talk to your mother, your sister or your best friend, but somewhere woven through the threads of that conversation will be your shared history and perhaps a hidden agenda or two.
There have been many times in my own life when a private conversation with a trusted colleague or mentor was all I needed to find my way and make good decisions: Two heads are, indeed, often better than one.

There are those days, we all have them, when we need to put our lives in to perspective; days when we could use a little inspiration…
For over a year, I’ve been creating what I call Friday Inspirations: Combining my own photos with words of faith and comfort.
Please feel free to share them with your friends, and sign up for my mailing list to receive Friday Inspirations directly in your mailbox.
